"Stories of n.O.r.s.t trooper titans EXIST, because their experiences apply today..."

Cultural knowledge FOR life SUCCESS

Transferable Knowledge - Cultural Awareness - Experiential Skills

In law enforcement today, transferable professional knowledge, cultural awareness driven-training and community-connected experiences are of paramount importance for serving diverse residents of each state. Officers rely on their experiential training and knowledge to handle the everyday challenges of working in law enforcement.

At the National Organization of Retired State Troopers part of our mission is to develop and offer effective training and educational opportunities to active and retired law enforcement officers and interested members of local communities. This training serves to update a current, or retired officer’s knowledge of the most effective modern community-policing practices that people really appreciate incorporating respect, listening and appropriate responsiveness to to issues of the day. Effective use of awareness strategies in community policing has been shown to reduce crime, and improve day-to-day interactions between officers and the general public.
