RESEARCHing SOLUTIONS

Research-Based Solutions - Training Services

Our ongoing experiential sociological-ethnological-based research methods are complemented by the diverse backgrounds of our NORST researcher managers and law enforcement experts who can provide officers and public safety agencies with practical exposure to substantive public safety competencies to help develop the following:

Experiential-Based Training Perspectives

     A. Innovative up-to-date training to develop experiential perspectives and strategies needed for superior law enforcement problem solving results;

Creating Customized Police Culture Assessment Tools

     B. Develop unique reliable data-driven cutting edge-police culture assessment tools that can be customized to help law enforcement leaders truly know the 'actual culture of the officers that work for them' to address a foundational workforce gap in law enforcement culture knowledge that has not been accomplished using present-day data tools and theoretical academic approaches.

Currently agencies over-rely on data-focused tools and processes that typically measure enforcement activities, citizen complaints and other local metrics that have often result in the deployment of inefficient policing methods that fail to address the dynamically changing criminal justice landscape spectrum of today.

N.O.R.S.T. Evolves Everyday

Finally, the depth of our continuous work to improve police-community engagement and training is evolving everyday. We focus on provisioning innovative methods to improve community respect for the important contributions of law enforcement officers who work hard to preserve our freedoms, act to protect individual constitutional rights and show up each day to address the adverse effects of the ongoing national crisis of police distrust.
